Average salary of an English teacher in public universities is in 4k-5k RMB range, including free accommodation and allowance on meals and transportation. I think Hotels should pay more and free accommodation should be included. Check That's Beijing forums:

I would suggest the salary should be no lower than 8,000 rmb per month, includes housing, maybe one meal a day and paid vacation and plane ticket
