What is the most convenient hotel to Disneyland in Anaheim?

BESIDES the Disneyland Hotel. Something good for kids, in walking distance of the main gate or a close shuttle that runs frequently. Want to make sure we have the most time possible at the park! Bonus points for a hotel close enough to see the fireworks at night-time.What is the most convenient hotel to Disneyland in Anaheim?
The Carousel Inn and The Tropicana Inn are both right across the street from Disneyland, making them probably the closest in walking distance. I've never stayed in either, but my mom and sister stayed in the Tropicana, and they liked it (and my mom is somewhat picky about her hotels, so that says something). =]

There's also the Candy Cane Inn, which I liked. It's in walking distance, but they also have a shuttle bus to Disneyland that runs about every 20 min (and it's one that parks fairly close to the main gate).

All three hotels have a pool and a complimentary continental breakfast. You can probably see the fireworks from most hotels, as long as they're nearby. We could see them from our balcony at Candy Cane last time we stayed there. You can also see them from Downtown Disney. Make sure you watch the fireworks in the park at least once though to get the full experience!

There are lots of other hotels near Disneyland, but these are the ones that came to mind. FYI, some of the other hotels will advertise as being ';right next to Disneyland'; but they are really a few long blocks away, so watch out! =]What is the most convenient hotel to Disneyland in Anaheim?
Disneyland has many hotels that are not made by disney called Good Neighbor hotels. They are reasonably priced and are quite nice too. You can walk or shuttle to Disneyland. If you really want a great experience you should try Disney's Grand Californian hotel. Even though it is expensive, you have an entrance right into california adventure from the hotel, it is a 4 diamond hotel, and have a full service spa/ archade/pool/concierge and everything. I LOVE that place.
There are several reasonably priced hotels across the street from Disneyland on Harbor blvd. Hilton and Marriott are father away but there will be shuttles. Go to Disneyland.com. Under hotels open the good neighbor icon for a list in the surrounding area and a map that will help you. You will see the fireworks from most hotels or eat at downtown Disney and stay for the fireworks.
HYAT ROCKS. If you have kids get the delux room wiht a bunk bed and a king sized bed. That is a great room. YOu can take a shuttle to Disnyeland anyway.
You might want to consider Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel - it's owned by Disney, on Disneyland Resort property (with some great views of California Adventure), and isn't as much as the Disneyland Hotel or Disney's Grand Californian.

Have fun!
There is PLENTY of hotels around Disneyland. Most of them provide shuttle services, or some of them are within walking distances.

The last time I went there, I stayed at Days Inn Convention Center. It's close to the main gate. It offers shuttle services, and I only paid $45+tax. Clean, it looked new, and nice too!
