How should employees in the hospitality industry be trained?


What qualities do you think a hotel manager needs to have?
In the Hospitality Industry you have to be able to take issues and deal with them fast. People do not have the time or patience to wait. I always said that if I was not in trouble it would not be a normal day. Being a hotel manager, you are in trouble all of the time. You have to take it like water off of a ducks back. Where people fail most times is that they take issues too personally. You can't or you will not make it through peak season.

courteous


hard yet personable


able to Multi task


leader- don't ask your staff anything you would not do yourself


moral boosting





Training:


The right leader will train their staff all that they know and empower them to make decisions with the right amount of corrective couching.

be social with then treat them nice and respect them
