What is the best family hotel in Williamsburg, Virginia?

I am taking my family of 5 on vacation to Williamsburg %26amp; need to find a hotel that's family oriented with indoor pool ,but also close to everything,(busch gardens, watercountry, williamsburg, jamestown %26amp; yorktown). Also, maybe hotel with breakfast buffet or close to other restaurants. What is the best family hotel in Williamsburg, Virginia?
You might want to stay at two different hotels. We stayed at the Woodlands when we were just seeing Colonial Williamsburg. It is next door to the visitors center and there are lots of buses back and forth to Colonial Williamsburg (you cannot park in Colonial Williamsburg). It has a free breakfast and lots of families with kids of all ages. No pool, but you are spending the day in Colonial Williamsburg. You can also get a special rate on your admission ticket and a dinner meal plan that really saves a lot of money.

Jamestown is just a day trip. What is the best family hotel in Williamsburg, Virginia?
The Great Wolf Lodge has a good reputation as a family hotel.

It is located at:

549 East Rochambeau Drive

Ph: 1800-551-2409

The Lodge's amenities include:

301 family-sized suites

A 55,000-square-foot indoor water park with eight water-slides, six pools, and a four-story tree-house fort.

The arcade includes redemption games.

The Great Clock Tower comes to life thrice daily to entertain guests with singing and movement.

There are three restaurants on site, two of which offer buffet options.

One is a casual themed family restaurant and bar

Coffee shop cafe

In-park snack bar

A large gift shop

The property also includes a full-service health spa, a concierge desk, and fitness equipment.

And the hotel is smoke-free.

All of the major chains are set up there, so it's tough to miss any. We stayed at the Country Inn %26amp; Suites when we were there, which is only minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. But you could say the same about a bunch of other places.
