Either the Brown Palace or Adams Mark Hotel
I'm from southern Colorado and travel often to Denver to stay the weekend. Our favorite hotel is the Denver Marriott Tech Center. It's reasonable priced at just under $100 a night on the weekends, has a decent pool, nice workout facility, great breakfast, and best of all, has a beautiful atrium. If you stay there, be sure to get a balcony room overlooking the atrium.

there is brand new hyatt in the heart of downtown close to Six flags and Invesco Field. It is very nice.
