Booking a hotel for minor while visiting a patient at the hospital?

My best friend was just diagnosed with Leukemia, and I'm planning on driving up to New York(where her hospital is) to visit for a few days. I'm 17 years old, and unfortunately my parents are unable to take off work and come with me.

So I was wondering, is there any possible way that they could book a hotel for me, near the hospital without having to be there to sign in, since I'm a minor? What are the rules and regulations on that?

Thank you!Booking a hotel for minor while visiting a patient at the hospital?
I run a large hotel and we have a ';Parental Waiver'; form that we created, however each hotel is allowed to have their own policy, therefore it may not even be a problem, whereas regardless, it could.

Best bet: just call around asking hotels their policy. You're bound to find one where it wont be an issue. I run a hotel, but Im sure plenty of motels dont care.

Good luck to both of you.Booking a hotel for minor while visiting a patient at the hospital?
Your parents could probably book a room for you but you will be required to produce identification when you register at the hotel. If the identification indicates you are a minor you will not be able to register.
